Start up Four GM terminals in Florida

Posted: 25-Apr-2011

Fleet Car Carriers is pleased to announce that the start up of our four GM terminals in Florida on March 21, 2011 has been a great success.  On very short notice we were able to mobilize the resources necessary to begin shipping GM product on day one.  Since then we have steadily increased our performance and daily lift.

To say it was a challenge is an understatement, as our team worked day and night to prove that the trust General Motors placed in us was warranted.  A special thanks goes to Hyman Stallings for the tremendous effort he has put forth to implement our operations plan.  We are also pleased to announce that the staffing of the Florida management team is nearly complete.

Bo Clark has accepted the Terminal Manager position at the Jacksonville, Florida terminal.  Joining Fleet Car Carriers at the start up of the Brunswick, Georgia terminal in 2005 Bo has delivered results for customers and forged great relationships with all of our transportation partners.  In addition to managing Jacksonville, Bo will continue to oversee the Brunswick operation.

Gary Schoening joined Fleet Car in May 2010 as we were starting the Greer, South Carolina facility in support of BMW.  With over 25 years of industry experience and a manager of multiple terminal locations during his career Gary was the ideal choice to run the new terminal in Tampa.  Gary is already heading things up at Tampa and will be relocating along with his family this summer.

Jason Balsley has worked in multiple locations during his 12 year Fleet Car career.  His most recent assignment, a second tour in the Denver Operations department followed a three year assignment as the Operations Manager in Smyrna, Tennessee.  Jason has accepted the Orlando Terminal Manager job and will be relocating his family in May.

At this time the Palm Center position has not yet been filled but we anticipate being able to announce the Terminal Manager in the near future.
